OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The present invention falls within the technical field of the devices for treatment of came, more specifically in that of those for the treatment of intestines, as well as in the technical field of cutting of the intestines, and refers in particular to an extraction device of the small intestine of the rest of the anatomy of animals slaughtered for human consumption, mainly sheep and pigs, in order to obtain a natural gut for sausage production.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The gut of cattle, especially that of pigs, is usually used in the elaboration of quality sausages as a natural wrapper that allows the meat that constitutes said food product to be contained and protected. It is also used as a raw material for some types of sausages, as well as being a main ingredient of some culinary preparations from different countries. Cattle guts also find application in other types of industry, such as pharmaceutical or animal feed manufacturing.
Depending on the type of livestock obtained, the natural gut has different characteristics. For example, the lamb gut is thin and thin, recommended for sausages of small diameter, and supports well the processes of drawing, cooking or smoking. The veal is characterized by a wide caliber and is suitable for sausage of high quality raw, cooked or scald. Finally, the most used is the one from the pig, which due to its characteristics is used for sausages with a wider caliber, since it has a resistance that the lamb gut lacks. It is used in the manufacture of typical products such as chorizo or sausage.
The operation of separation and extraction of the natural gut from the body of the slaughtered animal, also known as disemboweled or unraveled, consists essentially in the separation of the small intestine from the mezzanine to which it is attached by means of a cutting element. At present, this is done manually by an operator who uses a manual or pneumatic knife to frictionally separate the gut from the surrounding organs according to the gut package with adhered glands being extracted from the animal by traction by a rotating element that is pulling said package, known as a bowel stretcher.
This manual procedure has the main disadvantage of relying on the manual skill of the operator who performs the separation, and it is common for cuts and other damage due to improper handling, which make it necessary to discard the gut obtained, with the consequent costs. Likewise, proper maintenance of the knife in optimal conditions is essential, being necessary to interrupt the extraction operation to proceed to change the knife when it is detected that it is damaged.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The object of the invention consists of a mechanical device, typical of an exploded room, for the continuous and automated extraction of the small intestine from the body of an animal slaughtered in a slaughterhouse, which avoids the aforementioned inconveniences.
For this, the extraction device comprises adjustable cutting means that, combined with some pressure elements, allow regular and constant friction to separate the small intestine from the adjoining ridges without causing cuts in the intestine surface . In addition, the gut obtained is automatically directed to a emptying and scraping machine for subsequent conditioning, prior to its use as a natural gut for the food industry.
The device basically comprises a mobile base, which allows its movement through a tri-room, from which a support column emerges to which an axis that supports guiding means and a tilting arm, located in a lower position, are transversely linked. to the guiding media.
In said tilting arm a cylindrical and rotating base is located in solidarity on
a transverse axis, arranged perpendicularly to the column, on whose surface a plurality of blades are arranged perpendicularly, intended to separate the intestine from the adhered inlets. The tilt of said arm is adjustable by means of a tightening screw, which makes the scraping pressure exerted by the blade on the interlocking variable.
The guiding means, which preferably consist of a fork transverse to the cylindrical base on which the blades are arranged, direct the gut towards washing and emptying rollers.
As for the arrangement and operation of the extraction device, first of all the package or assembly formed by the small intestine is loaded with the inlets, fat and other adhered elements, contained in a channel or table, and hung by the interlocking, It is stretched from a tip of the gut and placed on a traction device known as a bowel stretcher. An operator manually removes a free end of the small intestine and attaches it to a grip element of the stretcher, which pulls it away from the intestinal package or viscera package.
The extraction device is disposed in an intermediate position between the gutter containing container channel and the bowel stretcher, forcing the package to pass in its path on the cylindrical base with the blades, which scrape the
surface of the small intestine, thereby removing unwanted adhered elements, which fall on a deposit located in a lower plane.
As already indicated, the casing is directed by the guiding means towards the washing devices located in a position subsequent to the unraveling wheel. By additionally incorporating a pneumatic timer, the intestine is distributed so that it enters the washing rollers in half, so that the emptying of the intestinal contents is distributed exactly, between the two ends of the gut, avoiding tears by accumulation.
The device thus described allows continuous work, since in case of deterioration of one of the blades arranged on the cylindrical base, it is enough to rotate said base to make it another of the blades mounted on the base that exerts the scraping on the package. In addition, since the scraping pressure exerted by said blades is adjustable, the undesirable performance of cuts and other deteriorations that render the gut obtained unusable is avoided.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
To complement the description that is being made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, according to a preferred example of practical implementation thereof, a set of drawings is attached as an integral part of said description. where, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented:
Figure 1.- Shows a perspective view of the device, in which its main constituent elements are appreciated.
Figure 2.- Shows a side view of the device.
Figure 3.-Shows a front view of the device.
Figure 4.- Shows a plan view of a cross-section made in the device, as indicated in the upper part of the figure.
PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
Next, a detailed explanation of a preferred embodiment of the object of the present invention is provided with the aid of the aforementioned figures.
The described natural casing extraction device, shown in Figure 1, is formed by a movable base (1), from which a support column (2) upper part. A first axis (3) is arranged transversely to the column (2), to which it is linked in the vicinity of its upper end by a first flange (4) that allows the longitudinal displacement of said first axis (3) along of the column (2).
It is additionally provided that the base (1) incorporates wheels, not shown in the attached figures, to facilitate the movement of the device through a tri-room.
The first axis (3), linked as indicated by one of its ends to the column
(2) by means of the first flange (4), it comprises a free end (5) to which a guiding element (6) is perpendicularly linked. In the preferred embodiment described herein, the guiding element (6) is a fork with a bottom-oriented opening, which joins perpendicularly to an auxiliary axis (7) transverse in turn to the first axis (3).
A swing arm (8) is linked to the column (2) through a second flange (9), located transversely to said column (2) in an arrangement lower than that of the first flange (4). The tilt of the arm (8) around a transverse axis of the second flange (9) is adjustable by means of an adjustment element (10), which when tightened or loosened on this second flange (9) allows a smaller or greater tilt of said arm (8) In this preferred embodiment, the adjustment element (10) is a tightening screw.
The arm (8), which, as seen in Figure 2, has, in this preferred embodiment, an essentially polygonal and flat geometry, comprises a first end (11) in which a counterweight is located, not shown in the figures, and a second end (12) of which a roller (13) of essentially cylindrical geometry is integral and perpendicular.
The roller (13) comprises a free end in which a cylindrical support (14) is located, coaxial to said roller (13), around whose central axis it can rotate. On the surface of said support (14) a plurality of transverse grooves are defined, equally spaced from each other, intended to accommodate a corresponding plurality of blades (15), located perpendicularly to the surface of the support (14), for scraping away from the intestine. thin from a package of intestines with guts attached. A locking element (16) prevents the rotation of the support (14) around its central axis, thereby fixing the relative position of the blades (15) with respect to the roller (13).
Guides (17) linked to the roller (13) and located respectively on both sides of the support (14) compress the bowel package and direct it towards the blades (15). As seen in Figure 4, in this preferred embodiment each of the walls
(17) has an essentially truncated conical geometry, with a central axis coaxial to that of the roller (13) and the support (14), and with their respective lateral surfaces oriented in reduction towards the support (14).
The natural casing extraction device thus described is arranged in a tri-ward room, in an intermediate position between a channel or table containing bowel packages with adherent viscera coming from the cutting of a slaughtered animal, and a bowel stretching device that extracts by pulling said packages from the table, pinching on one end of the intestine.
The package of intestines is passed between the guides (17) to be scraped by the blades (15) arranged on the surface of the support (14), which separate the small intestine from the insides, fat and other adhered elements. Said small clean intestine passes through the guiding element (6) to be channeled to a subsequent emptying and cleaning device, while the separated elements fall on a collecting tray, not shown in the attached figures, for subsequent disposal or transformation.
The passage of the package on the blades (15) exerts a pressure on them, and therefore on the roller (13), which tilts the arm (8) with respect to the transverse axis of the second flange (9) thanks to the counterweight arranged in its first end (11). The graduation of the adjusting element (10) can hinder and even prevent said tilting of the arm (8), so that the blades (15) offer greater resistance to the pressure exerted by the package, thereby producing a more thorough scraping .
The first axis (3) to which the guiding element (6) is linked is adjusted in height on the column (2) to properly conduct the clean gut to the next device.
When it is detected that the blade (15) acting on the package is worn, the locking element (16) that retains the support (14) is released, which is rotated on its axis until another blade (15) is positioned. instead, when the locking element (16) is activated again to immobilize the support (14) in said position. Thus, it is not necessary to interrupt the gut extraction process.
